Our Culture

As a member of the North Shore Healthcare family, our center’s dedicated healthcare professionals strive to deliver quality care to those who have chosen us. Morningside Health Services’ goal is to create an environment that affords our residents the opportunity to be a partner in the care they receive, to develop trusting relationships with our caregivers, and to reach their highest level of independence. We are passionate about making our center The Right Choice for you or your loved one.

We have been serving Sheboygan and surrounding counties since 1965. Out center is located in a quiet neighborhood on the north side, with Aurora Sheboygan Memorial and St. Nicholas Hospital located nearby. We are proud to be a part of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee/walk, involved in the Dementia Care Network, and the Sheboygan Care Coalition. We are also proud to be on the U.S. News & World Report Best Nursing Home list for 2018.

Leadership Team

Executive Director – Ashley Waltho

“One of my favorite things about this industry are the staff. It truly takes special individuals to care for others while having to deal with a fast paced, high-stress, and ever changing/adapting industry. From administrative staff to direct caregivers, they continue to do an outstanding job, all the while positively impacting our resident’s lives every day. If it weren’t for caring staff members, not only in my facility but in others, we would not be where we are today.”

Social Services Director–Kim Dahl

“I enjoy meeting new people, the relationships that I have made, and the feeling I have helped someone for the better. As a healthcare worker, there are plenty of opportunities to quickly move up in the field. I’m always impressed with the dedication of professionals whom I have the opportunity to work with.”

Director of Therapy–Amanda Schroeder

“I love working in Skilled care because here is so much improvement made by our patients from the time of admit to d/c. The geriatric population is great to work with they have such great stories to tell.”

Admissions–Heather Davenport

“I really enjoy working with the elderly population and hearing their stories. My goal with every resident is to ensure the admission process is seamless and help relieve some of the stress the family feels.”

Business Office Manager–Tracy Londre

“I truly enjoy working with the residents and their families. We are a smaller facility and that allows myself and my coworkers to spend time getting to know the residents that come into our facility. I cannot imagine working anywhere else that you’d find your days as rewarding, whether it be watching a person grow stronger and go home, or being greeted in the morning with a smile from a long-term resident. Although there have been many changes in healthcare in the past 20 years, my goal remains the same and that is to “make a difference” to those that I am fortunate enough to meet along the way.”

“After having spine surgery, I needed help regaining my mobility and learning the change that must be learned to function with new parts. I chose Morningside simply because my Mother-in-Law resides here. After seeing the excellent care she has received, there was no other choice in mind. The therapy was excellent, thus making my healing faster. The nursing staff also was kind and friendly, and always kept the resident’s best interest in mind at all times.”

– James Becker, patient

“The nursing staff was kind and took good care of me. I was at Morningside Health Center for therapy and I enjoyed it very much. It was great to see my improvement.”

– Vera Zenk, resident

“This was my second time at Morningside and the care is great. The therapists are kind and pleasant. At times it was hard, but in the end, it was worth it.”
